Sometimes one finds a really good reading and wants to share it. BTW Lets be beautiful inside and out.
David looked deeply into the empty eyes of the skull. Beside it, a warewolf stared at him, its pink tongue sticking out between bloody teeth.
“I don’t know, “David said. “I think this one is kind of lame.”
Marcus, his best friend for most of their 13 years, lowered the masks, a look of disappointment on his face. They had been in the costume shop for almost an hour, and David had still not found a costume ugly enough to suit him. Marcus had been patient with him, but it was clear that his patience was reaching its end.
“Look, maybe if you told me what you’re looking for, I could help you find it.”
“I’m not sure, exactly, “David said. “But I’ll know it when I see it.”
“What’s the big deal, anyway?” Marcus asked. “It’s just a stupid contest at a stupid party. Who cares if you win or not?”
David thought for a moment. Under normal circumstances, he would have agreed with Marcus, but these were not normal circumstances. Jessica Taylor would be going to the party, and so far, Jessica Taylor had shown absolutely no indication that she knew David even existed. But winning the costume contest would change all that.
“Hey, look at this one!” Marcus exclaimed, holding up what appeared to be the face of a zombie in an advanced state of decomposition. Blackened teeth showed through cracked and bloody lips, and the greenish skin was open in several places, revealing bone and muscle.
“Check it out, ” Marcus continued, “there are, like, worms coming out of the left eye!”
“That’s pretty gross,” David admitted, “but it’s still not quite what I’m looking for.”
What was he looking for? I wonder, well I will tell you later because after all I must respect the Copyright and I guess it is time for you to use your imagination………
